If you look around you, you will find Math surrounding you.

Grade 5 students are learning about 3 dimensional shapes, so they brought different 3-D shapes that they use in their daily lives to identify their faces, edges, and vertices.

Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality (AR) is to blend the real world with the digital world in order to enhance learning. I started implementing this technique in my science classes. My students enjoyed their time as they were learning and discovering the human body systems.

 

 

 

Math in our daily lives

It’s the sale season here in Lebanon. Grade 6 students brought different clothes’ tags and used their Math skills to calculate the new amount of money they should pay after the sale.

The Food Chain Photostory

Grade 4 students translated their understandings of the food
chain concept into different models.

Learning Polygons through Tangrams

Tangrams, an old Chinese method, are dissection puzzles consisting of seven flat shapes, which are put together to form different objects. My 5th graders used Tangrams and created different shapes (Dragons, cats, helicopters, Rabbits…). Finally my students used the shapes they created to identify different polygons.
