Place Value Cups

Grade 4 students used Styrofoam cups to understand place value, learn the name of large numbers, decompose numbers to expanded form, and write numbers in word form.
It was an interesting activity that all my 4th graders enjoyed 😊

Get to know KSPS 4th graders through M&Ms

It's my first year to teach KSPS 4th graders Math, so it was very interesting to know about them through M&Ms game. Every student answered a question according to the color of M&Ms he/she picked. Finally we all enjoyed our time eating delicious M&Ms.
It was nice meeting you my students

Figure Me Out!

Grade 6 students translated information about themselves as their age, number of family members, number of letters in their name, shoe size, birthday and month...into mathematical expressions.
It was very interesting to know them in a mathematical way!

We are STEAMing in an Augmented Reality way

My six graders experienced STEAM learning in a unique way. They used an augmented reality application to build an electric circuit with all its components. They discovered the most fitting materials that best conduct electricity. It was fun discovering, learning and STEAMing.
